Solar Protection Llumar performance solar films filter out the worst of the sun's heat and glare but allow light through. This keeps buildings cooler and will reduce energy costs of air conditioning plants as well as making staff more productive in a more comfortable environment. Typically during the peak of summer the application of solar control film can reduce ambient room temperature by up to 8 C, helping provide thermal comfort as required by Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations (Regulation 7)

Glare Reduction LLumar performance collar control films also reduce glare by up to 94% whilst staying optically clear, maintaining excellent vision through the glass. This effectively minimises possible eyestrain when working on VDU's or close or detailed work. Low winter sun can also cause irritating and uncomfortable glare problems. Llumar solar control film will also help you meet the requirements of the Health & Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 which implement European Directive No. 90/270/EEC.

Insulation Llumar performance low emissivity films are 'all season' films, rejecting unwanted heat and glare in the summer months and reducing heat loss through the glass by up to 30% during the winter. This increases comfort levels withing the building throughout the year and will reduce the energy costs of air conditioning plant in the summer and heating costs in the winter. Llumar Low-E film can help you meet the standards of the Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document L1 & L2 based on conservation of fuel and power.

Llumar decorative and privacy films enhance any glass, from opaque finishes that look like etched glass to privacy reflective films that let in light but keep out prying eyes. Total blackout and whiteout films are available for darkrooms. Included in the range are decorative patterned films that provide an attractive finish to internal partitioning.

Uniquely Llumar white opaque film is also available as a safety film version meeting the required safety standards.

Llumar safety and security performance window films hold shattered glass in place saving lives, preventing injury, protecting property, deterring unwelcome visitors and reducing the effect of any explosion. It upgrades existing float glass to meet European glazing safety standards (regulation 14).

In the event of spontaneous fractures within toughened safety glass, the correct use of Llumar performance safety film with an edge retention system will hold the fractured pieces of glass together within the window frame.

Whilst Defendall is an almost invisible permanent application the film, if necessary, can be removed by an Accredited Installer.
